Grammar

We use US English, not British English.

We use sentence case, which means we only capitalize the first word in a header, subheader, CTA, or name.

Do
  • Welcome, product makers!
  • [Try it free]
  • Features board
Don't
  • Welcome, Product Makers!

When writing out an email address or website URL, use lowercase.

Some terms are capitalized, while others are not

In Productboard, some terms should be written in lowercase, such as generic terms like 'features,' 'items,' or 'boards,' to reflect their common, non-specific nature.

On the other hand, terms that refer to specific, unique elements within Productboard — such as product names, feature names, or customized labels — should be capitalized to distinguish them as proper nouns or official terminology. This practice helps maintain clarity and consistency across documentation and communication.
